大谷哲也 陶磁器展

滋賀県信楽にて作陶される大谷哲也さんの展覧会を開催いたします。端正なフォルムと柔らかい釉薬が魅力の器は、食材の色つやを引き立て鮮やかに見せてくれます。日々の生活に使う現代の器をテーマに、足し算ではなく引き算から生まれる普遍的な器を追い求めて作陶を続けられている大谷さん。近年では国内外のレストランで使われることも多く、ますます活躍の場を広げられています。今回の展覧会では定番の洋皿や土鍋に加え、入れ子の器なども出展していただきます。どうぞご高覧下さいませ。

We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Tetsuya Otani, a ceramic artist based in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture. His tableware is in elegant appearance and delicate glazed finish and is always be suitable for presenting food. He is mainly producing tableware for daily use and in a pursuit of simple and minimum design. Recently his works are becoming increasingly popular in Japan as well as abroad. In this exhibition, he will show us not only the classical series, such as western plates and earthen pots, but also nesting vessels and other works. We are looking forward to your visit.
