東亨 てっかり展

塗装の剥がれた鉄板や曲がった銅片、くすんだアルミ—街の片隅で役目を終えた金属片に目をとめ、東亨はそれらを素材として再構築します。意味や機能を失った「漂流物」は、彼の手で「てっかり」として新たな命を得ます。「てっかり」とは、香具師が使っていた隠語で、金物や灯りのこと。かつて日常にあったものが、時間とともに曖昧な記憶へと変わっていく。その曖昧さを受け入れ、東は独自の視点でかたちを与えます。私たちもまた、その瞬間に立ち会うことで、日常にひそむ美しさや力強さに気づくかもしれません。

てっかりと花 — 齊藤謙大 いけこみ
5月10日（土）には東亨さんの作品「てっかり」に合わせて、齊藤謙大さんに花をいけていただきます。齊藤さんは茨城県にて、草木や花を自ら育てながら花をいける仕事を続けています。土地の気候や時間の流れと共に植物と向き合い、自然に宿る気配をそのまま活かすように、静かな佇まいの中に生命の芯を感じる花をいけられます。

Rusty steel plates, bent copper fragments, and dull aluminum—Ryo Azuma finds beauty in these discarded metal pieces left behind in the corners of the city. Stripped of meaning and function, these “drifting objects” are reborn through his hands as Tekkari. The term tekkari comes from the secret argot of yashi, wandering peddlers who once sold metal goods and lights. Items once embedded in everyday life, now vague remnants of memory, are embraced by Azuma and reshaped into new forms. Through this process, we too may come to rediscover the quiet strength and beauty hidden in the everyday. On Saturday, May 10th, the exhibition will be enlivened by floral artist Kenta Saito from Ibaraki, who will create a flower installation within the space.
