浜野まゆみ 陶磁器展

唐津で作陶する浜野まゆみさんの展覧会を開催いたします。古伊万里に魅了された浜野さんは、憧れの古伊万里を手本に、陶土、焼成、絵付など研究を重ね、現代では途絶えていた「糸切成形」を復元されました。「糸切成形」とは、糸で粘土板を切り出し、型に当てる成形方法。 器全体が一定の薄さで軽やかであることや、器に合わせた形の付け高台などが特徴です。日本画を学んだ浜野さんの絵付けは、緻密な筆遣いながらおおらかで柔らかな印象を受けます。本展では、向付やお皿を中心に出展いただきます。どうぞご高覧ください。

We are pleased to present an exhibition of Ms. Mayumi Hamano, a potter in Karatsu, Japan. Fascinated by old-Imari, She studied clay, firing, painting, etc., using old-Imari as a model, and restored the “thread cut forming”. “Thread cut forming” is a forming method in which a clay slab is cut out with a thread and placed in a mold. It is characterized by the lightness and thinness of the entire vessel, and by the shape of the base that matches the vessel. Hamano, who studied Japanese-style painting, paints with precise brush strokes, yet her work has a soft and gentle impression. In this exhibition, we will showcase mainly bowls and plates.
