須田貴世子 金工展

長野県で鋳造によるブロンズ作品を制作される、須田貴世子さんの展覧会を開催いたします。須田さんの作品は、蝋や紙、糸、麻布、植物など身近にある素材から作った鋳型に、溶かした金属を流し込むことで成形されます。仕上げには塩や酢を用いて鋳肌の成長を待ち、太陽や雨の力を受けて生まれた作品は、個性豊かな表情を魅せます。様々な素材の良さや青銅の風合いからは、長く時を経たような静かで深みのある佇まいが感じられます。京都やまほんでは初めての個展です。どうぞご高覧下さい。

We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Kiyoko Suda who is producing bronze objects in Nagano. She gets inspiration from objects around us, such as cloth, plants, and paper to design casting molds. By these unique molds, liquid material is being solidified again to get a delicate and creative shape. Without any metal finishing chemicals, all her works get their special and meaningful texture after being exposed to the weather. Also because of this method, her works look antique and it seems that they are waiting to share their stories.
